| 英文摘要 | 插图在词典编撰中具有重要意义，是词典重要的微观结构之一。词典插图最为人所津津乐道的是他的装饰功能，然而其功能远远不止于此——词典插图还能够辅助释义，以及直观地表现词语之间的联系以帮助词典使用者扩大词汇量。在词典编撰的实践活动中，不乏成功运用插图的例子，例如《美国传统词典》、《朗文当代英语词典》以及《剑桥国际英语词典》均运用了为数不少的精美插图，这些插图也成为其突出特色之一。除此以外，词典编撰者注意到，插图在类义词典中具有突出的意义和特殊的功能，因此，一些英语类义词典诸如《朗文多功能分类词典》和《朗文英语联想活用词典》也开始为词条配置插图。本文一方面主要讨论英语类义词典配置插图的必要性，包括类义...; The pictorial illustration is an important technique used in dictionary-making.
