英文摘要	内容摘要 插图是词典重要的微观结构之一，具有美化词典和帮助读者理解释义的功能。目前，英美许多著名的词典、如《美国传统词典》、《朗文当代英语词典》、《韦式大学词典》等，都配有精美的插图。但是，国内大中型的英汉和汉英词典则鲜见有插图。BoSvensen(1977)认为，在双语词典中少见插图并不希奇，因为其篇幅主要用来提供词条和用法信息。然而，社会的发展、交流的频繁、学习语言的重要性日渐增加。因此，对词典的要求也更全面了。本文主要讨论在英汉双语词典中设置插图的必要性和如何设置插图。 第一章讨论了中外词典编纂设置插图的历史。介绍了从1604年到20世纪80年代期间英美国家词典插图的发展。第一部设置...; The pictorial illustration, mainly known for its aesthetic function, is an important technique employed in dictionary making.
