英文摘要	比喻是一种普遍存在的语言现象。作为一种修辞手段，它是语言的点缀，可以使语言有效地传达信息、感动听众和读者。比喻又被认为是文化的一面镜子，与文化有着紧密的联系。比喻反映文化，文化又影响着比喻的形成和发展，因此，比喻也有着丰富的文化内涵。可以说，对比喻的翻译，既是语言的翻译，也是一种文化的交流。 我国文学巨匠钱钟书先生曾说过：“比喻正是文学语言的根本”（陈子谦，1992：415）。在他的唯一一部长篇小说《围城》中，钱钟书运用了大量的比喻修辞手法，涉及女性、社会、政治、宗教、风俗等各个方面，直观地反映了中国文化的丰富内涵，但同时也给翻译活动带来了较大的困扰——翻译时，如何对比喻进行有效的处理成了译...; Simile and metaphor are common linguistic phenomena.
