英文摘要	厦门白鹭自然保护区包括鸡屿岛和大屿岛两部分。作者自1999年3月至2001年7月研究了大屿岛上的白鹭（Egrettagarzetta）繁殖生态和种群动态。 非繁殖季节，大屿岛西侧滩涂是白鹭的“择偶场”；繁殖季节，大屿岛为白鹭群体繁衍、觅食和栖息提供了适宜的条件。 在大屿岛繁殖的鹭类，1999年共4112只，营巢区面积为1.14×106m2，其中夜鹭（Nycticoraxnycticorax）1848只，白鹭1304只，池鹭(Aroleolabacchus)896只，牛背鹭(Bubulcusibis)56只和黄嘴白鹭(Egrettaeulophotes)8只。2000年岛上繁殖鹭类共572只...; Xiamen Egret Natural Reserve includes two parts: Jiyu Islet and Dayu Islet.
