| 英文摘要 | 括注是辞书中的一种辅助性释义方式。括注的运用是新时代的产物，是现代词典释义追求精密化和科学化的结果。辞书界对括注的功用有所认识，但还没有形成系统。对括注的具体操作也还缺乏见解，有的甚至反对使用括注。 本文通过对《新华字典》的括注语料进行分析，对括注运用的功用、价值、特点得出了一个系统认识。其括注运用的主要目的，总的来说，是深化或完善信息。 在分析这些语料的基础上，指出了括注运用的不足处，这对其它辞书的编纂实践也应该有一些接见作用。为了分析的进一步深入，与《现代汉语词典》进行横向比较，发现括注的功用大体是相同的，它们的使用与辞书的性质、规模及其风格和编排体制是一致的。这表明辞书从属于应用语言...; As a kind of secondary parenphrase by the way of punctuation, parenthesis is the product of the new era.
