英文摘要	教授会是一种以审议大学学术事务为主要职权的教师团体组织，广义理解下，评议会、教师评议会、学术委员会都是教授会组织。民国时期，教授会在大学学术发展、校务管理方面发挥了重要作用，诸多民国著名大学如蔡元培时期的北大、梅贻琦时期的清华和抗战时期的西南联合大学都设置教授会组织，并取得巨大的办学成绩。 本文主要运用历史文献分析法，探讨了20世纪前的西方大学教授会产生及发展历程，揭示了西方大学教授会的本质是学者行会演变而来的教授（教师）团体组织，以学术权力为基石管理大学各项事务，尤其是学术事务。民国初年，蔡元培以制订《大学令》的立法方式引进了西方大学教授会制度。由《大学令》到《修正大学令》及《国立大学校条...; The faculty senate is a kind of reviewing university academic affairs as its main powers and functions of teachers’ organization.
