| 英文摘要 | 对旧建筑进行必要的改造，是城市更新与完善的具体方式之一。我国的建筑设计行业对旧建筑的改造与再利用的研究刚刚起步，在这样的形势下，我们有必要对旧建筑改造这一课题进行研究。 本论文对旧建筑改造与更新进行思索，提出旧建筑要结合地域特性进行改造的概念。探讨基于地域特性的旧建筑改造创作手法，解决在旧建筑更新过程中出现的忽视建筑历史延续性问题，使旧建筑更好的适应当代生活方式的需要。 文中列举国内外大量实例，涉及外部环境改造到内部空间组织的建筑改造全过程，从设计的不同层面寻求相互关联，用以说明旧建筑改造结合地域自然环境、人文历史环境的必要性。以厦门地区特定的地域环境为出发点，结合建筑创作实践，说明运用基...; Building renovation which regarded as reusing old buildings is a basic unit of city development.
