英文摘要	厦门市早在1994年便已经进入老龄化社会。近几年来，随着经济、社会的迅速发展、医疗卫生水平的改善、人口出生率的下降及平均寿命的提高，厦门市的人口结构呈现老年人口比例高，老龄化势头猛、高龄老人比例高等特点。因受经济的发展和计划生育人口政策的影响，家庭结构的简化和家庭照顾功能的退化使得传统家庭养老模式功能日渐弱化，而单纯的机构养老无论是从数量还是提供服务的种类、质量上都不能跟上人口老龄化的发展步伐，更不能满足广大老年人日益增长的多层次养老服务需求。以政府购买家政服务为主要手段的居家养老，还尚未在全社会形成共识。建立和完善可持续的社会化养老服务体系，寻找一条适合厦门市情的多元化养老服务道路已成为当前...; Aging is an issue that most societies are facing and it is more so in Xiamen city.
