| 英文摘要 | 汕头是潮汕历史文化的发祥地，是粤东地域中心城市。当前，汕头在城市文化建设方面面临诸多问题，而造成问题的原因，正是强势文化冲击与侵略，城乡和贫富差距拉大所造成的。如何在汕头这座海滨城市中培养她的城市精神，提炼她的核心价值观，建立属于汕头自己的城市价值体系；如何依托汕头的地理形态和人文积淀，构筑一个传承文脉、个性鲜明的城市形象；如何与此同时，提升政府管理城市的能力，提升市民素质共治汕头，增强汕头市整体竞争力，是本文即将讨论的重点。最后，在综合分析所有研究材料的基础上，对汕头经济特区的城市文化建设的研究成果作出总结。; Shantou, the birthplace of Chaoshan history and culture, is the center city of eastern Guangdong region.
