英文摘要	本文以严复、王修植等国闻报同人的北洋大臣公署属员身份为线索,通过对历史情境和报刊文本的考察,尝试从当时的政局生态中去探求:除了得到日人相助之外,何以《国闻报》虽然屡历风波,却能在京畿重镇存续经年。本文认为,《国闻报》从创立、运作到转让,始终受到王文韶、荣禄的庇护,同时,它也在积极地维护这两任主官的个人利益,甚至不惜为此在新闻报道中遮蔽乃至扭曲一些重要事实。; Following the clue of all the important figures of GuoWen newspaper include Yan Fu,Wang Xiuzhi,and the others,subordinates Beiyang Ministries and commissions,and in the background of the then political situation,this paper explores the reasons of paper which was survived for nearly one and half year in Tianjin,a city close to the capital of China empire, although the paper received the Japanese assistance.The author concludes that,the paper could be survived because it was protected by Wang Wenshao and Ronglu.On the oth- er hand,the newspaper men of the GuoWen newspaper also tried their best to protect the interests of the two supervisors.
