英文摘要	本文通过对语类和体裁理论的分析,考察语类理论在语言教学中的应用,目的在于说明语类意识是英语专业学生外语能力的主要组成部分。本文认为语类意识以及正确使用语类的能力是衡量英语专业学生外语能力的一项指标。因此,教学大纲设计、教材编写和课堂教学需要参考有关语类的研究,确定常用语类的结构成分以及具体的词汇语法和修辞特征。; By analyzing the theories of register and by looking at their application in language teaching,this paper aims to illustrate the fact that genre awareness is an important part of foreign language competence for English majors.This paper argues that genre awareness and the ability to use correct genres is an index to measure the foreign language competence of English majors.Thus,syllabus design,textbook writing and classroom teaching need to refer to the related researches on genre and determine the structural elements of common genres and their concrete lexicogrammatical and rhetorical features.
