英文摘要A purely algebraic method is presented to construct preconditioners for symmetric positive definite H-matrices. The main technique is H-compatible splitting and diagonal compensation reduction. Associated with some special matrix polynomials, under certain condition, this method is optimal with respect to the rate of convergence and computational complexity. Numerical results that illustrate these properties are provided.
