Crystal Structure and Third-Order Non-Linear Optical Property of a Novel Three-Dimensional Supramolecular Network Compound of Co(II)

英文摘要A new metal-organic complex formulated as [Co(ISOIN)(2)(H(2)O)(4)] 1 (H(2)ISOIN) = isonicotinic acid) has been synthesized by low-temperature solid-state reaction and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analyses, IR and UV-visible spectra. The strong intermolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen-bonds interactions are the most significant factors controlling the novel supramolecular sheet fashion packing of the title compound in the crystal state. The third-order non-linear optical (NLO) properties of 1 were also investigated and they exhibit the reverse saturable absorption and self-defocusing performance with modulus of the hyperpolarizability (gamma) 8.75 x 10(-31) esu for 1 in a 1.56x10(-4) mol.dm(-3) DMF solution.
