中文摘要	中国历史上的很多地区、民族的文化中都有牛王会、牛王节,然其举办日期、节日内容却不尽相同。关于牛王会的起源,有民间传说,也有农业科学视角的阐释。本文将2007年绵阳市龙门镇出土的"牛王祀田碑"的碑文与地方志等材料相互印证,断定清代当地的牛王会举于十月初一,且极大可能是受到了羌人风俗与历法之影响,牛王会背后的涵义乃是贺冬至。古人误以为太阳于冬至之时必行至牛宿,牛王会的"报牛"活动实为报"牛宿",而非实体的动物牛。; In the history of China,many regions and ethnic groups have similar festivals or fairs for bull king, with their difference in time and content. As to the origin of bull king fair,there exists folk legend as well as agricultural interpretation. This paper reports an investigation of the inscription of " a tablet for Bull King" unearthed in 2007 and the local history materials,and finds that the bull king fair is held on October 1st in lunar calendar and this festival celebrates the midwinter,for ancient people took for that the sun moves to the position of bull star and the activity of " bull meowing" can actually refer to the star of bull but not this real animal.
