中文摘要In order to research the flashover characteristics of the insulators for 800 kV UHVDC transmission line, the artificial contamination tests were carried out for different types of insulators under different pressures and in different typical kinds of equivalent salt deposit density (ESDD), and the test results were analyzed. The results show that the flashover voltage of polluted insulators regularly decreases with the increasing of the altitude. By comparing the withstand flashover performance of different types of insulator under different altitudes, the suggestions on insulator type selection for +800 kV UHVDC transmission lines are put forward.
