中文摘要 | A joint maximum-likelihood (ML) channel estimation algorithm was developed to estimate timing errors, residual frequency offsets, and phase noise, and to reduce the error floor in high-order modulation orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. The joint likelihood function of these impairments and the channel impulse response (CIR) are used to optimize the joint estimates of the timing error, residual frequency offset, phase noise, and CIR. Simulations show this algorithm more accurately estimates the channel response, reduces the non-Gaussian interference caused by those problems, and lowers the demodulator error floor by nearly one order of magnitude compared with existing joint estimation algorithms. Thus, method may be used to effectively improve the performance of high-order modulation OFDM systems. |
