中文摘要Content aware storage (CAS) is storage facility for keeping unchanging digital records that provides important security and performance advantages. This paper presents a CAS area network implemented at Tsinghua University (THCASN) compliant to the OSD T-10 standard. A performance evaluation model developed to analyze the I/O path overhead shows that the performance bottleneck is the computing object content hash digests and looking up the hash-metadata map table. Test results demonstrate that the performance metrics for the THCASN, NFS, and iSCSI storage methods are comparable with the write performance of THCASN being twice as fast as the other two systems.
