中文摘要	本文指出状语的句法分布和其语义诠释有密不可分的关系,而其间对应更是井然有序而循序渐进的。文章以汉语的疑问状语和反身状语为材料,依其结构位置区分出内状语和外状语:前者的诠释围绕着伴随关系,以动词组为其势力范围,并受限于主语的主体意识。后者的诠释则脱不出致使关系,可再分为两类:较高的外状语占领了主句(CP),担任致使事件的述语;较低的外状语则盘据在小句(IP)的边缘,充当致使者的述语。从事件结构的角度来看,内、外状语可以分别对应到所谓的过程投射和致使投射;在历史发展的向度上,也有证据显示内、外状语的演化轨迹。这些发现进一步厘清了句法和语义间错综复杂的关系,也便于以此研究为基础来建构一套具有普遍性的映射机制。; This paper aims to illustrate the close relationship between adverbial distribution and its interpretation with a case study on the correspondence between the loci of inner/outer adverbials and the sub-event projections in Chinese. The interpretations of inner adverbials center on comitativity within the scope of VP, requiring subject agentivity. By contrast, the interpretations of outer adverbials have a close bearing on causality, which can be further divided into two groups: causation-oriented adverbials on CP and causer-oriented adverbials on IP. In terms of the event structure, inner vs. outer adverbials correspond to process vs. causation projection respectively. Sufficient historical evidences indicate a path for the emergence of the inner-outer distinction. These findings thus not only elucidate the complex syntactic-semantic relationship, but also facilitate the construction of a universal mapping mechanism for the phenomena.; 国科会计划(NSC 89-2411-H-007-045、NSC 89-2411-H-007-046)资助
