| 中文摘要 | 文章利用官方统计数据,分析了1978—2002年中国各地区工资的演变。研究发现:(1)虽然各地区工资在1978—1991年间表现为显著收敛,但在1992—2002年间呈现显著发散。即使控制了物质资本投资和人力资本投资的影响,结果也并不改变。这一特征很大程度上是由初始工资相对低的、东部区域的工资相对于中西部持续上涨并超越导致的。(2)对于几乎所有地区的相对(全国的)工资的时间序列,单位根的假设不能被拒绝。但混合所有地区数据的、考虑地区固定影响的自回归模型的估计表明,工资序列受外部冲击的影响总体上是暂时性的。证据还表明,劳动力的流动在改革以来是不断加剧的。基于以上的发现,文章提出了一种借助于二元经济和地区间产业结构异质性的假说,说明工资发散可以与劳动力流动相一致。; Using official statistical data, this paper provides an overview of wage evolutions across regions in China during the period 1978—2002. The authors found that: (1) although average wages of staff and workers among different regions exhibited convergent trends during 1978—1991, they demonstrated obvious dispersive patterns from 1992 to 2002. It holds even if physical and human capitals are controlled. The steady increase and exceeding of labor wages in East area, where the initial wage is relatively lower, compared to Central and West areas have dominated this trend. (2) For almost all the provincial wage time series, the hypothesis of unit root cannot be rejected. However, estimation on a pooled-data fix-effects AR model shows that external shock can affect the wage level only temporarily. Evidences also support an expanding flow of labor among regions. According to all these findings, the authors provide a conjecture based on dual economy and structural heterogeneity to conciliate the wage divergence and labor flow. |
