中文摘要	模糊学诞生于查德教授(L.Zadeh)1965年发表的论文《模糊集合》。查德的模糊理论揭示了客观事物的类别之间,经常没有精确规定的界限这一事实,从而说明在认识活动中,模糊现象、模糊概念和模糊推理常常是人们把握对象本质和规律的一条重要途径。翻译是人类认知活动的一种,译者在对原著的理解、传达和读者对译著的评价过程中,都无不渗透着模糊性。本文拟从模糊学的角度对翻译现有的方法和理论进行重新认识,目的不在于提出新的翻译方法和理论,旨在说明模糊应是翻译研究的一条重要取向。翻译实质上是语言活动、思维活动、审美活动的综合和统一。因为人类的自然语言、思维活动和审美活动都具有典型的模糊性特征,所以,对翻译的研究必须用一种与此内容一致的思维形式。换言之,翻译这种综合性的活动是不可能用非此即彼的死板规定来把握的,我们必须运用模糊的方法来对其描述和分析。翻译理论主要是由翻译方法和翻译标准两个方面构成。翻译方法的模糊性,正是人类思维适应语言的复杂性、整体性和动态性等客观事实的必然发展结果,它有益于培养译者的艺术个性,也为译者在翻译过程中发挥主观能动性,从而为进行再创造提供了较大的灵活性。本文拟从翻译模糊性的认识论和方法论两个方面进行阐述,正如在前文中提到的,本文的目的不在于提出新的翻译方法和理论,旨在说明人们可以从模糊学的角度对翻译现有方法和理论进行重新认识,并指出模糊应是翻译研究的一条重要取向。; The notion of “fuzziness” was first put forward in Prof. Zadeh’s thesis —‘Category of Fuzziness’. The theory of fuzziness has discovered a fact that there is no accurate boundary between the practical objects. Thus, in human being’s activities, fuzzy phenomena, fuzzy concept and fuzzy logic are the main methods to grasp the nature of the world. Literary translation is one kind of human activities. When understating the original, conveying the message and valuing the translated, fuzziness exists in every aspect. This article is subject to provoke people to have a new recognition of the literary translation methods and theory, form the perspective of fuzziness, but not to raise new translation methods. Linguistic fuzziness is one of the distinct characteristics of works. So it is with translation. In this article, the author probes into the fuzziness of translation from different aspects: (1) the process of cognition; (2) the characteristics of works; (3) the features of human languages; (4) the style of translation works. Then, this article re-evaluates the traditional translation methods and yardsticks from the angle of fuzzy mathematics. The author argues that the fuzziness is the objective property of translation; we should strive to see it in its right perspective.
