中文摘要	本文通过论述特色对于城市的重要性,指出塑造城市特色是总体城市设计当中的重要内容,并从总体城市设计的有效性角度提出城市设计工作中塑造城市特色的方法和策略。指出应该将关于城市特色的抽象总结转化为可以量度、控制、管理的城市设计要素,并将其体现在各个层次的城市规划中,通过土地利用规划的形式形成刚性的控制,通过城市设计导则的补充指引对弹性要素进行引导。最后结合长春总体城市设计的实践作了具体的阐释。; The paper discusses the importance of urban identity to a city and argues that the creation of urban identity is an important content of comprehensive urban design. Then the paper puts forward some methods and strategies to create urban identity in perspective of validity of comprehensive urban design, demonstrates that we should convert the abstract sum - up of urban identity to some elements of urban design that can be measured, controlled and managed, use them in all levels of urban planning, achieve rigid control through land use planning, and guide flexible elements through supplementary guidance of urban design guidelines. Lastly, the paper made some detailed demonstration on the base of the practice of the comprehensive urban design of Changchun.
