A dual-layer iterative algorithm is presented based on time and space domain discretization, which can be utilized in the simulation analysis and comprehensive optimization design of the electromagnetic repulsion mechanism. Detailed investigations are done through computations regarding the impacts of various structure parameters on the dynamic characteristics of the electromagnetic repulsion mechanism, and some general criteria governing optimal design are thereby summarized. A springs-based dual-steady holding structure is proposed in the mechanical design, and the dynamic closing process of the moving contact is calculated in a simulation case with the parameters obtained through optimized analysis, which demonstrates that the closing time of the switch is within 0.23ms.; 国家自然科学基金重大项目(50137020); 教育部留学归国基金资助(20040527)~~
