中文摘要采用光学显微镜跟踪测量法研究了支承辊钢滚动接触疲劳垂直短裂纹的形成和不扩展特性。结果表明:这种短裂纹生成很快、初始扩展速率非常高,但很快就停止扩展;经过大约表面损伤寿命的70%~80%周次循环后,一部分短裂纹又转向沿圆周方向且平行于表面扩展,并具有长裂纹扩展特征。利用垂直短裂纹的这种不扩展特性及其可跟踪性,将其转向扩展作为区分长短裂纹分界点判据。根据这种判据,实验测得残余拉压应力下的寿命比为0.5~0.54,与理论计算的残余拉压应力下的寿命比0.333~0.375相差较大。; The life time of rollers in the hot rolling of steel was studied by analyzing the initiation and propagation of vertical short cracks due to rolling contact fatigue(RCF) in the backup roller steel.The studies used an optical microscope to trace the crack growth to analyze the effect of heat-treatment-induced residual stresses on crack initiation due to RCF.The results show that the short cracks initiate very quickly and initially quickly propagate at the beginning of the fatigue test,however,their growth stops after a few cycles.After a rather large number of cycles,the cracks begin to propagate in the circumferential direction and parallel to the contact surface for some cracks.The propagation behavior of these cracks is similar to that of long cracks.The propagation behavior of the vertical short cracks suggests that the number of cycles which reinitiates propagation of vertical short cracks can be taken as a criterion to distinguish the short crack from long crack stage of RCF.This criterion suggests that the measured ratio of the crack initiation time to the residual tensile stress and residual compression stress limits is 0.5~0.54,which is much greater than that the values(0.33~0.37) obtained theoretically.; 国家自然科学基金资助项目(10402037)
