The Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) was applied to the domain of distributed M&S and a Service-oriented Distributed M&S framework (SoDMSF) was proposed. The SoDMSF consists of four layers (model repository layer、 modeling layer、service deployment layer and simulation runtime layer), supporting the interoperability among heterogeneous simulations and enabling reusability of legacy models and simulations.
