中文摘要	文章结合实例,详细介绍了一种分五个层次定义的微细结构描述语言———MSDL(MicroStructureDescriptionLanguage)。包括集成电路、MEMS元器件等在内的任意微细结构,都可由所定义的描述语言进行描述。新器件的结构经由MSDL语言表述后,器件结构分析,制造可行性检查,工艺流程确定,乃至流程的实际实施等,都能够由计算机或在计算机控制下自动完成。因此,MSDL语言已成为辅助新器件开发的有力工具。; MSDL,a micro-structure description language, which describes a device in 5 levels, is illustrated with an example of a sub-micron CMOS structure. Arbitrary micro-structures, including IC's, MEMS devices, etc, can be described with MSDL.Once a device is MSDL described, analyzing of the structure characteristics,checking of the structure for manufacturing, sequencing of process steps, and implementing of the fabrication process, can all be executed by a computer, or a computer controlled manufacturing system. So, MSDL can be regarded as an efficient tool to assist the development of new devices.
