; Based on the one-dimension two-phase drift flow model, along with the consid- eration of the subcooling boiling in heated section, the condensation and the flashing in the riser, the simulation of the axial distribution of void fraction in natural circulation in HRTL-5 was performed. The characteristic of the distribution of void fraction and its parameter effects were analyzed. The results showed that the drift flow model along with the consideration of subcooling boiling, the condensation and the flashing was more suitable for describing the simulation of the distribution of void fraction in HRTL-5. Whether taking the subcooling boiling into account or not was very important for the calculation of the void fraction and the confirmation of the status at the exit of the heat- ed section.Besides, there was some influence on the calculation of the flashing zone and the driven force of natural circulation with or without the consideration of condensation. Finally, the flashing can make great influence on the calculation of distribution of the void fraction, especially under the lower pressure condition.
