Subsections of the symbols in parallel filter are processed to find the relationship between the subsection size and the bit error rate. The bit error rate is related to the parallel width and the output width, so the influence of time domain truncation on the demodulation result can be expressed quantitatively. Simulations show that for a 4-symbol parallel width 2-symbol output width demodulator, the demodulation loss caused by time domain truncation in the parallel filter is about 0.6 dB.
