中文摘要	The inter-city transport integrated information platform (IC-TIIP) was designed to provide a broad spectrum of operational data from multiple sources strategically placed throughout the system as the key input to the Inter-City Intelligent Transport System. A new architecture developed for the IC-TIIP was developed based on a virtual data warehouse and extensible markup language (XML). This paper describes the IC-TIIP system architecture in which the virtual data warehouse receives a wide range of data from many sources and analyzes the function and advantages of the virtual data warehouse based on the complex real-time distribution characteristics of the IC-TIIP. The results show that this open, flexible platform has good expandability so that it can be used for transportation systems.
