中文摘要The prediction of the phase distribution in subcooled steam-water flow boiling is significant for accurate thermal design and safety analysis of nuclear reactors. A nonlinear heat balance equation was used to calculate the true mass quality. The behavior of the two inflection points for the onset of nucleate boiling and the onset of saturated boiling was used to solve the nonlinear equation for the mass quality for boiling in a channel with high arid low inlet subcoolings. A correlation was also developed to calculate the onset of saturated boiling. The model for the mass quality can be used to calculate the void fraction using the drift flux model. The model agrees well with the measured steam-water void fraction data from different sources over wide ranges of pressure, mass flux and heat flux conditions.
