中文摘要	A new type of M-ary (M > 2) RLL codes called M-ary even nonzero symbol and run-length limited (ENSRLL) codes is proposed. The finite-state transition-diagram and the Shannon capacity of M-ary (d, k)ENSRLL codes are presented. Furthermore, a highly efficient 6-ary (1, 6)ENSRLL code is constructed using the sliding-block (ACH) algorithm. The proposed code has the virtue of a simple coding table and a decoder with sliding window of length 2.
