中文摘要A double-pass schlieren system using a combination of lenses and mirrors was designed for non-intrusive visualization and measurements of large-field flows such as internal waves. A virtual knife edge was used to replace the knife edge in traditional schlieren systems. The optical subsystem and the image acquisition subsystem were "seamlessly" integrated to continuously obtain digital schlieren images of flows in real-time. Additive noises in the images are effectively removed through repeated Wiener filtering with increasing local estimate neighborhoods for each pixel.
