中文摘要ATA bus has characteristics of simple architecture and feasible manipulation, its devices are the dominating storage products in the computer market at present However, ATA protocol is hard to expand and short of intelligence, which severely restricts the application of ATA devices in the mass integrated storage. A method was proposed to implement ATA-RAID based on embedded system. The design used ARM chip as the central processing unit, used FPGA chip to control bottom data logic. The I/O sub-system was provided with a standard ATA interface to the hosts and acted as a normal ATA device. The experimental results proved that our method was successful to integrate ATA devices and expand ATA storage capacity.
