中文摘要Swirling diffusion combustion exists in different kinds of combustion equipment. Numerical simulation has become an effective method to study the low pollution combustor .It is essential to develop a reasonable and economical turbulent combustion model that can be used in engineering. In this paper, the propane-air swirling diffusion combustion from an annular fuel inlet is numerically simulated by USM turbulent combustion model proposed by the authors. The simulation results of mean velocity, fluctuation velocity, temperature, concentration of fuel, oxygen, and carbon dioxide are in agreement with the experimental results. It indicates that the USM second-order moment model is reasonable. Both simulation and experimental results show that the annular fuel inlet makes the turbulence more uniform and isotropic.
