中文摘要We examine the factors that affect the resolution and quality of the biomolecule imaging using carbon nanotube as tips for atomic force microscopy (AFM) and numerical simulations. The small radii and high aspect ratio reduce the long-range forces of the carbon nanotube tips, which affect measurement resolution, and the cylindrical carbon nanotube makes it possible to reduce the tip-broadening effect. The flexibility of the nanotube limits the maximum force applied to the sample surface, preventing the biological sample from damage. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
