中文摘要 | An improved work-of-indentation approach was established for determining hardness from the nanoindentation test by properly considering the effects of indenter-tip-rounding and the changes in the area of free surface on the energy balance relationship during indentation. Nanoindentation data obtained on soda-lime glass were then analyzed to check the validity of this improved approach. It was shown that the hardness yielded with this improved approach is comparable to that determined with the traditional Oliver-Pharr method. |
