中文摘要Machinable ceramics consisting of SHS Ti/sub 3/AlC/sub 2/ powders were first studied by spark plasma sintering (SPS). Relative density of sintered Ti/sub 3/AlC/sub 2 / sample obtained at 1450 degrees C and 20 MPa 5 min under vacuum is 98.4%. Sample sintered at 1500 degrees C is full dense. The Vickers hardness of sintered Ti/sub 3/AlC/sub 2/ samples is enhanced with the increase of sintering temperature (1300 degrees C~1500 degrees C). The SEM micrographs show that the layered grain size of sintering sample sintered by SPS increase with sintering temperature.
