中文摘要This works presents a FEA and experimental investigation on the rolling resistance of a medium heavy duty radial tire. A semi-couple thermomechanical approach is used to simulate tire mechanical, thermal as well as rolling resistance behaviors. Materials tests are performed to identify rubber hyperelastic constitutive laws and loss properties, while tire reinforcements are modeled as rebar structures whose properties are determined by tension tests. Tire simulations under several combinations of vertical load, speed and inflation pressure are performed to obtain the sensitivities of rolling resistance. Meanwhile, drum tests are used to measure the tire rolling resistance under loading cases of interest. It was found, both by tests as well as by simulations, that truck tires shows different speed and loading dependent behaviors with passenger tires. The main conclusion of the work is that the integration of precise materials tests, FEA and tire measurement is the key to the success of the application of the tire mechanics.
