中文摘要We propose a design of a Mach-Zehnder atom gyroscope which uses Rb-87 atom beam as source and stimulated Raman transitions to coherently manipulate atomic wave packets. The signal simulation and prediction of shot-noised limited short-term sensitivity were done by combining the Feynman path integral approach for atoms propagation through the interferometer and the Schrodinger equation approach for interaction of atoms with Raman lasers. Neglecting the transverse velocity distribution of the atom beam and AC Stark shift induced by Raman laser, the influences of interference length and the longitudinal velocity distribution on sensitivity and contrast of the gyro signal were analyzed.
