中文摘要Diarylethene is a reversible photochromic material that can be applied in volume holographic data storage. The optical anisotropy (dichroism and birefringence) of the diarylethene molecule, induced by polarized light illumination, allows the recording of polarization holograms which can multiple two independent holograms in a common volume. In this paper, a new holographic storage scheme with two data channels based on the properties of polarization holograms is proposed. The information of two data-channels can be stored and retrieved simultaneously with negligible inter-channel crosstalk. Thus, the data transfer rate will be possibly doubled.
