中文摘要Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX) are components which are commonly found. in crude oil, contaminated ground water and air. A method for the determination of BTEX in seawater and seafloor sediments is described. Determination is performed by dynamic headspace (purge and trap) gas chromatography with photoionization detection. The features of the described method, i.e. detection limits of 6.4 similar to 35.2. ng/L, relative standard deviations of 0.9% similar to 6.1%, no sample preparation needed, and recovery rate of 93.5% similar to 98.4% in the BTEX determination in seawater, make it convenient for measuring ultratrace BTEX in complicated matrix, which is important for environmental monitoring.
