中文摘要The choice of the projection model is an important factor in single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) image reconstruction. A 3-D collimator model was developed to include the collimator blurring effect. The effects of several commonly used projection models including the delta model, the line model, and the strip model on the reconstruction results were studied using the Jaszczak and Shepp-Logan standard images. The comparisons were based on the image resolution, normalized mean square error, contrast to noise ratio, and reconstruction time. The strip model provides the best reconstruction results among the 2-D projection models, with further enhancement of the image quality achieved by the 3-D collimator model due to the correction of collimator blurring at the cost of increased reconstruction time.
