中文摘要By researching on the hardware architecture of the entropy coding algorithm. An AVS-P2 entropy coder based on FPGA is designed and presented in this paper. In this FPGA implementation scheme, a very efficient storage structure for VLC table access and a very simple method for deciding the length of Exp-Golomb code word are designed, so that, have greatly saved the storage space and reduced the coding complexity. The designed entropy coder has passed the simulation in ModelSim.
