中文摘要	While power grids are interconnected into a whole entity, the management and dispatch for them are done in a hierarchical and distributed manner. This means an online decomposition and coordination strategy is needed to ensure that a consistent result can he obtained. This paper unifies various decomposition-and-coordination strategies by using a three-dimensional chart, whose axes stand for the computation modes, coordination methods and external network equivalence extent, respectively. The relations between these strategies are also discussed. The problems existing in the coordination algorithms, calculating speed and communications for different coordination strategics are analyzed. Based on decomposition and coordination, a practical algorithm for transient stability simulation (TSS) is designed. Time-window and shifting-time-window are introduced into the algorithm to improve its convergence and to reduce the communication burden. Some digital tests have been done with the results showing that the method proposed has a good convergence, high precision and low dependency on communications and is insensitive to initial iterative values as well.
