中文摘要This paper describes an optimization scheme to enhance the performance of the open shortest path first (OSPF) protocol for private networks, especially with bad wireless channel conditions. The optimization scheme focuses on aspects of the single-area scheme, packet format simplifications, modifications of the important state machines, and setting of the key protocol parameters. Simulations indicate that the average time for routing table calculations can be reduced by 81% and the average protocol bandwidth consumptions can be reduced by 80%. Moreover, the stable network working time can be doubled when link bit error rates is high. Therefore, the optimization scheme best adapts to the special characteristics of the private network to effectively enhance the overall network performance.
