中文摘要Two call admission control (CAC) schemes were developed for code division multiple access (CDMA) systems to improve the system throughput and provide quality-of-service (QoS) guarantees. These two schemes define the average or maximum outage probability as the QoS for each class of traffic. The scheme based on the average outage probability improves system throughput as well as the wireless resources efficiency. The scheme based on the maximum outage probability provides better QoS guarantees. Simulation results show that the outage probability with these methods is reduced by almost 50% compared to the resource reservation algorithm when the system load is high. The resource efficiency is also higher since there is no reserved resource in these algorithms.
