中文摘要A novel method for sub-surface penetrating radar's target automatic detection and orientation is proposed based on template matching. First, the image was segmented into background areas and object areas according the characteristic of the radar images. The template matching was done in the object areas detect and orientate objects. The templates are created according to the depth of matching points. If there is a metal object, it inversed the phase of the template to orientate the metal object exactly. The proposed method included the image segmentation, the template creating, the matching algorithm, the metal recognition and inverse phase algorithm. The proposed method excels the conventional methods.
