中文摘要A compact, laser diode (LD) pumped all solid-state acousto-optically Q-switched intracavity frequency-doubled 473 nm laser has been developed. The repetition rate is up to 100 kHz. A 5-mm-long Nd:YAG crystal was used as laser medium and a 10-mm-long type-I non-critical phase matching (NCPM) LiB/sub 3/O/sub 5/ (LBO) crystal was used as frequency doubler. The contour size of the laser is 11 cm*6 cm*3 cm. 64.8 mW average power of 473-nm stable output at repetition rate of 20 kHz was generated with a 2-W LD as pump source, corresponding to a total optical-optical conversion efficiency of 3.2%. Under 1-kHz repetition rate, stable output has been obtained, with pulse width of 23 ns, peak power of near 700 W and pulse energy of 16 mu J. A formula of energy storage in three-level system is deduced, which is different from the previous results in which the upper state lifetime is taken as the energy storage time. This deduction is proved by analysis of the experiment result.
