中文摘要Space-time and space-frequency transmitter diversity schemes were developed to improve the transmission performance of digital television terrestrial broadcasting (DTTB) over fading channels. Simple transmitted signal configurations were constructed based on the frame structure of the time domain synchronous-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (TDS-OFDM) system. The original transmission branch is maintained and the computations are greatly simple. Simulations show that the two methods both improve the BER performance over slow fading channels. At the threshold of alpha /sub BER/ = 10/sup -3/, the diversity gain exceeds 8 dB. Over fast fading channels, the space-time diversity becomes very bad because of the Doppler shift, while the space-frequency diversity gain is similar to that over slow fading channels. Therefore, the transmission performance of DTTB can be greatly improved by choosing the transmitter diversity scheme according to the channel characteristics.
