中文摘要Collaborative awareness is the basis of natural interactions, but there is no collaborative awareness model applicable to all computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW) applications. A role-based hierarchical collaborative awareness model developed for synchronous cooperative applications divides the awareness information into four levels by decomposition and recombinations using a role-task graph. The relationships between tasks and places where the objects are manipulated are used to precisely calculate the strength of awareness. The strength of awareness is then used to dynamically establish a cooperative virtual team. The awareness messages within the virtual team can be sent selectively based on specified requirements. Therefore, the network traffic is controlled and the overall efficiency of the cooperative work is improved.
