中文摘要	Wireless personal area network (WPAN) is one of the most mushroom fields in current computer networks. At present typical WPAN technologies can be divided into five classes: IrDA, HomeRF, Bluetooth, ultra-wideband and Zigbee. This paper introduces the characters and related standards/protocols of these technologies, the application areas and development prospects are analyzed and compared.
